PBL at Penn State

Can any current Penn State med students comment on how effectively PBL is used there? I know different schools implement it to different degrees in terms of number of hours devoted to it and how closely it follows the lectures. Do many students at Penn State like the way PBL is done there, or does it seem like wasted time?

It might be more effective to direct this question to the Penn State folk in Allo Class Threads, or better yet, a real flesh and blood Penn State student... if you can find one...
