Hey guys,
I was wondering if any of have used the PCAT Destroyer to prepare for your PCAT, did you find it very helpful and the questions to be the same level of difficulty or less/more etc? The Biology section has so many 'Which of the following statements is true/false' and the Dr Collins questions are much different then this :S Let me know your thoughts!

Thanks

When I took the PCAT a few years ago, I thought that the PCAT Destroyer was absolutely useless because the material covered in the book was MUCH more difficult than what you would see on the exam. The types of questions weren't very helpful either; The PCAT was more theory based Orgo and the PCAT destroyer has too much Orgo 2 material as well. IMO, that book would get you ready for a final exam for a class versus preparing you for the PCAT. Personally, I found Dr. Collins more helpful than the other study guides out there. (I scored a 99 on the PCAT, so take with it what you will.)

im using Collins and the destroyer. So far what iv done is do the Collins study guide, then the tests then the destroyer. For biology, I did find the destroyer to be a little long and time consuming but because most of the questions are true/false it really makes you understand the topic.

I'm going to be completely honest with you, I took the PCAT back when it was written in I believe 2009, and there were no true/false questions on any section. The most recent time I took it was 2010 and still no true/false. I'm taking it again in September, if you still want to know I'll update after. Btw I'm studying with the Dr.Collins this time around and from what I remember it is quite similar to the actual. I flipped through the PCAT Destroyer and felt it went over some useless things and just very broad. The PCAT is more specific questions (well on my past forms it was).
