I would like some advise on taking the PCAT. I plan to apply to pharmacy school next year and maybe take the PCAT in september, so I can have enough time to retake it. I have the Kaplan book, but I am not sure If it will be enough. I am not good at standardized tests at all. With how low my ACT/SAT scores I am surprised I got into UF at all. I don't want to spend alot of money on a class, but I think it is something I should consider. Can you guys share your experiences with studying for the PCAT and any courses were used?

I plan to apply to UF pharmacy I still have a few science preqs to go but my science GPA is hovering around a 2.9, which i know is low. Is there anyway to make up for a low GPA?

Also, I know alot of pre-pharmacy students apply to be a pharmacy technician and that it how they get Letters of recommendations, but I was wondering if someone who is not a pharmacy technician explain how they were able to get LORs from pharmacists?

there's no point taking PCAT class.. you usually get LORs from pharmacist that you shadow/worked with, science class professor, and sometimes supervisor.

PCAT classes won't be necessary. As far as the LORs go try to contact independent pharmacies around your area to see if you can help out. If not then find hospitals in your area and call them up and ask to volunteer.
