Okay so if your trying to narrow down the square root of 864, how do you end up with 6 squartroot of 6? Like what are the steps to getting that number?

You should not end up with 6*SQRT6, because the square of that number is 216.
If it were on the PCAT, I would eyeball it. It's >625, and <900, so you know that the correct answer would be between 25 and 30, probably closer to 30 than 25. Then I would select the answers that fit this criterion and square them to find the correct answer.

My tip for doing math is..round everything! the answer will be obvious since it falls within the range. if you want the square root of 865 or whatever its the square root of 900. so it will be under 30. There will be an answer in the problem that will be obvious since it's close to 30. Same thing with the chemistry part. Since all problems are equal, do the easy ones first, don't get tided down by the hard problems.Good luck!
