I am taking the PCAT on June 23rd for the first time and am using it as an opportunity to practice before I crack the books hard. I had the scores sent to several schools but saw that some people suggest a no score option. 😱 Is it too late to change this and does that mean you do not recieve a score yourself for evaluation?

It depends on what you mean by no score. If you mean to cancel your test immediately after you take it so the test becomes void, then you can do that but you won't receive a score. If you opt for a score but don't send it to the schools, the schools will see your scores at a later time.

Don't forget to send one copy of the scores to Pharmcas. It will save you a lot of money in the long run =)

Is it horrible if the schools see that horrible score and later see that you have improved. As you know binghamkid I am also taking the PCAT in June and if I do take it and send it schools. I will probably be end up taking it again in aug/ oct. So, I just want to make sure that the june scores would have any effect on my admissions into pharm schools (if I did BAD). Some schools only take the higher score anyway..........is it the higher composite score or each section score like in SAT's???

It depends on the school. I believe they want the scores to come in one sitting though.

Yup...

I forget which school this one, but there is one that takes the best subsection scores. More commonly, we see the schools that will take the best score but other schools do look at other scores too. If a person never takes the no-score option or is taking his/her third PCAT, then it is of utmost importance to do well and worry about adcoms' perception of you later. Getting an 85 on only one administration looks better than a 65 and an 85 on two subsequent PCATs, but the effect of the 85 will boost your app regardless.
