Hello! After I complete a practice exam, the scores for each subtest is out of 40, because they are the "core" questions. Is that how the PCAT is formatted as well? 8 questions won't count? Thanks

Exactly - on the real PCAT there will be 8 experimental items in each multiple-choice section, meaning only 40 will count towards your actual score. So whether you answer those 8 experimental questions correctly or incorrectly, it won't matter - HOWEVER, you'll have no idea which questions they are or where they will randomly be placed in each section, so you'll want to try your best on every question.

Does that make sense?

Yes, thank you!
