Hey all,
So took the PCAT this morning and didn't do as well as I wanted to. My prelim scores are
Bio: 76
Chem: 22 (UGH 🙁)
Reading: 65
Quant: 53
Comp: 53
I havn't taken Ochem, Biochem or Physiology yet so I'm kind of thinking that's why I did so terrible on the Chemistry section. I honestly thought I did a lot better on the reading section...but scores don't show that. Any suggestions at studying for Chemistry in case I have to retake?
The school I'm wanting to get into says for a 'competitive score' you have to have above a 40th %tile composite and no subscores less than 20...so if my official scores don't drop that 22 ,I may have a chance???? I don't really want to retake it but I'm thinking I may have to. My GPA is a 3.8 and I have a bachelors (that is not science related), I've been a pharmacy tech for about 3 years now and I'm doing some volunteer work to boost my app..so I'm not sure if I should apply for early admissions or not. "Technically" I'm competitive according to the website but I'm not sure if I should just wait and take the PCAT again
*Also the calculator and the periodic table was up for the whole chemistry section & you could use the calculator for the entire math and bio section.
**I personally felt that this test was harder than the Pearson practice tests, esp #5,#6. The bio section wasn't bad but the math, reading, and chem were about where the Kaplan tests were in order of difficulty. At least for me.
