pcat retake question

hey guys.. i took the pcat in september of last year and i though that i was going to apply for fall 2009 admissions. later , i decided that i will apply for fall 2010 admission. my first pcat was a nightmare (19 composite......) so i will retake in august. my question is that when i will fill the pharmcas in 2 months or so, do i HAVE to put that i took the pcat in last august and do i have to put those pcat scores? becuase im going to retake the pcat anyways so is it necessay to put all your pcat scores. alos, do schools have any way of finding if i had taken the pcat before, and if so what was my scores. if yes, then so they count against you even if you improve the second time round?

i will appreciate all your help and knowledge.

When PCAT sends scores to PharmCas and your designated schools, they send all the PCAT's that you have taken...So yes colleges see what your score was.....You have to write in on PharmCas all the dates you have taken the PCAT. Generally, Pharmacy Schools look at your most recent score and base their judgment on you from that, but your old score is also sent....just make sure you get a great PCAT score the next time you take it. higher than 80 would be ideal....

I agree...this should be in the pcat forum.
Essentially you have to show reason why you scored significantly higher the second time. If your reasons are legitimate, they'll reinstate your score. So, you'll definitely have to take more classes or a prep course or something concrete to show proof for the significant score increase. The pcat forum discusses this in more detail, check it out.
