PCAT Scaled Score, what does it mean?

I've seen scores where people get 420 or 435 or 409 and things like that. What does it really mean?

Does it mean that the difference between 420 and 430 is 10 questions?

I think it is just a score that they give you that tells you how far you are away from the median. It isn't the number of questions you get right. The easier to understand score is the percentile rank and most people just go by that.
