I am taking the PCAT soon and i was wondering this question:

If I do bad on the PCAT exam (like horrible) and the pharmacy school I applied to gets it and lets say I do not get accepted. Will this PCAT score be on my record forever and hurt me in the future? If I reapply to pharmacy school in the future I am sure they will see it. I was wondering however, if I decide to change my path to lets say Dentistry or Medical, will my PCAT score ever be noticed over there? Will I have to type it in on my apps or talk about it in my interviews or will non-pharmacy schools never know.

Your pcat score will be on your pcat transcript "forever", i.e. as long as Pearson's there to maintain it.

Pharmcas does not keep records of your pcat for the next cycles (call pharmcas to double check). If you reapply to pcat schools, you have to request Pearson's to send in your pcat transcript. You dont have to (or even mention that you took the pcat) if you apply to only non pcat schools.

Med / dental schools will not even know that you were pre pharm and took the pcat unless you mention. And you do not have to list those fact or talk about it on your med / dental school applications or interviews unless you really want to or see some good benefits in doing so. GL 🙂
