Hey,
Is the Pcat score curved?
Is the section percentile scores after the curve or before the curve?
Do you know whats around the avg curve on the test?
Sorry for the stupid questions >__<

The PCAT scoring process is a very secretive process, one which carries no information on the net whatsoever. From what I know your score is based on two different factors: The first is that you're scored against a controlled group of test-takers from the first original test. Second, this score is also combined with your score as compared to everyone that took the test that day. I did read something on another post and I'm only speculating, that you're penalized more for getting a question qrong that the majority of test-takers got right, as well as vice-versa. It's best to get above 50% on each section, or most schools will not consider the score at all. Hope this helps.

Hrmmm... I thought it was scaled to a sample pool of students from 1996-2001 (or something like that). All their scores were averaged and then it was set to 400. So 400 is the average of that group. Your numbered scores are based on how much better or worse you did than that 400 average. Your score % is the % of those people you did better than. I didn't think it had anything to do with anyone that took the test the same day. I could be wrong, but this is how I understood what it says on the Harcourt site.
