how many months of studying does the pcat usually take?

and what are the best resources to start studying with.

It depends on how many prerequisite courses you have completed and how well you have grasped the material. Try to set more time to study subjects which are giving you the most trouble. Kaplan PCAT 08-09, PCAT destroyer, Cliff Notes, and the official practice tests from the PCAT website offer excellent practice.

it all depends on how well you did in the prereq courses, assuming they've been taken, the grades made in those course and last but certainly not least the places you've taken them. But that all may be hard for you to evaluate so with that I'd take a diagnostic test and see where you did the worst and start studying that section and eventually ending your studying with the section you did best on. This should take at least 3 or 4 weeks.

the above poster mentioned some good materials. i bought just about everything PCAT related and think the best materials are from Kaplan PCAT course practice tests, dr. collins material and DEFINITELY MUST PURCHASE the official practice test from the PCAT people. at least thats all i'd buy if i had a time machine and went back to my pcat studying days.
