Hey guys,

Could you guys share your experiences about the Verbal Reasoning, Analogies, and writing section of the PCAT please?
I mean for the verbal reasoning, did you guys look at the question and looked for the answer in the paragraph or read the paragraph before and answered the questions?
-How did you guys prepare for the analogies and writing?

I'm not sure how to prepare for this section.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I just give whole passage a quick read, then read the question and re-read the paragraph in question if I can't answer the question immediately.

I've taken the PCAT twice and both times finished with 15+ min to spare on the verbal so...maybe I'm just a fast reader. Got an 89(verbal) on the first, haven't gotten my Jan scores back yet.

Shrug. Totally wish I could use that extra time on the Quantitative section

As far as prep, not too sure how to help you out there. Just pay attention as you're reading. The typical questions ask about the author's messages, tones, opinions, etc. They usually have a bold-faced word somewhere in the passage, so you can note that as you're reading because they'll ask you a question about it.

Do you mind asking you how did you study for the sentence completion and the analogies?

Some people said that for the analogies, studying from Dr. Collins is very helpful, is that accurate?
