anyone from or knows about dc programs? i believe there are 3 going for match including georgetown, GW and WHC. how competitive are they and how many spots they have each year? how about where their fellows come from? they have very limited information on their websites.

i am still waiting for my PD's letter to upload. he says he did send it before he returned from holidays. hope to get at least some ivs then.:luck:

was looking at match statistics from last yr on nrmp. seems 30% matched were FMGs. that s some hope. will not know what to do if dont get a spot this yr.
 
Question to the group: About how many programs are most people applying to, AMG and FMG? I've applied to about 20, but now I'm starting to worry that I didn't apply to enough...

I initially applied to 30 H1B friendly programs. but when of one of my frens at other program who is applying to renal this yr suggested me otherwise, i added 10 J1s only to find that was a waste of 250 bucks. wanna kill him!!:laugh:
 
My all LOR 's uploaded before new years, hopefully they will review applications this week. so far one interview only ... i am checking my inbox 30-40 times a day..... I applied to 21 programs , am an FMG. I thinking of applying to more now ..
any word from henry ford, baylor ??
 
from Colorado and Pennsylvania..

atleast started getting replies now...it feels like vacuum when u dont hear anything from anyone..

applied to 40 some progs..am an FMG, scores in the 80's..not so decent resume huh..

life sucks..😀

Interviews at Penn and UColorado. Penn via email. Colorado tells you by email whether you have an interview but is mailing a packet w/ interview dates.
 
I'm feeling a deep, sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. I am in some sort of weird limbo ERAS hell. I had no rejections yet, but only one interview outside of my home program so far.... I've checked and my apps are downloaded (mostly-- a recent addition isn't, but that is expected). I have pretty good stats, a few pubs, I'm AMG, and the one invite is from a strong program. I think my inbox must be broken.... but I'm seeing people getting rejects and invites from programs I've applied to. What gives?

well.. seems its not only me!! and i had thought i was at least good enough for HF- was fun reading their rej--- although favorbly impressed by ur appln and cv, we decided to pursue other candidates!!

with 99, 99 and 88 and a poster and an abstract in a journal supplement, and hopefully reasonable LORs, and as a R2- my chances seem slim coz i am on H1??

seems its not working out this yr or ever. mayb will do hospitalist in midwest...... and go back to home country in few yrs.

never felt so depressed since starting residency!!
 
same reply from HF, impressed with cv and so on but could not give interview. 😡
 
my credential is I am fmg on EAD, working as hospitalist had score 91,88,81 on usmle. some research and good lor

Received a letter from Univ of washington that they recived the completed application and would forward to the dept and decide whether to invite for interview by mid Jan.

My credentials, FMG, on J1, scores in 80's, 3rd year in university program. one rej from HF so far. Nothing from the rest of 38 that I applied to, seem they just dumped my application!!
Life sucks.
 
Rej from Baylor... first rejection so far. I wonder what they want!?!?!? I have a J1, 4 posters, 1 abstract in CHEST, 2 case reports, 96/96/90, from a big university program. I wonder if they are looking for a lot of research experience or PhD/MDs ??????? Now I wonder if the LORs were not that impresive ?!??! good luck to every one.

or technically the second as i have the only call i was almost sure of.. my own program.

this week went dry or .. muddy with 4 rej so far.. HF, Uof Utah, Baylor, UMKC. hope next week brings some happiness to cheer myself up!

I'm an AMG from a community program. Applied to 30 programs mid-December, but the last LOR did not reach programs till Jan 2nd.
Should I be expecting replies by now?

Wondering if I'm sitting in a big maybe pile...
