Was wondering if you could help me out. I'm an intern looking at PCCM programs and was wondering what the top 20 programs were in the nation. I'm looking for a university setting with research heavy curriculums. Thanks for the help.

in no particular order, because I don't know how I would approach it, some of the names I can think of:

Colorado
U of Washington
Johns Hopkins
Penn
UCSF
Wash U
U of Chicago
Pitt
Boston U
UCSF
Vanderbilt

Obviously this is not all-inclusive. Colorado, while still a great department, is supposedly not the same as it used to be. Your particular research interest and the overall program and department environment will probably matter more than the pedigree when it comes to fellowship. For example, if you want to do ILD, do you go to a big name program, or do you work with the buy in ILD? I argue that you pick people to work with if you're going to be academic, rather than picking the program's prestige.

anyone know how this program is and how is compared to other top programs such as UPITT, WASH U, Stanford.. thanks

I was pretty impressed with Mayo when I visited there.
