Who has the better program?

I know that PCO is known for their clinical experience and early externships. It's also closer to home for me.

Boston has the unique clinical rotation, which could be a good or bad thing. And I love the city of Boston.

Does anyone know how the programs stack up against each other? The consensus seems to be that PCO only has a slight edge because of the clinical. So it's not like PCO totally blows NECO out of the water, right?

hi im a pco student so im a little biased towards my school especially since i've been very happy about the program so far (i'm a 3rd year), and defnitely feel confident to be going onto rotations this semester. i went to boston two months ago and out of curiosity i visited NECO, and the schools physical structure was really not that impressive, at all (at least in comparison to PCO). i felt like i was in a haunted house/ hogwarts and everything just seemed old and crammed. not to sound negative towards neco but recently they had the whole fiasco on 'cheating' on the NEBO exam that involved students a staff member and im not sure how things are going w that right now. anyway im sure their program is fine since they are a pretty established school but if i had to choose i'd still choose PCO. anyway good luck : )

had a similar situation and many optometrists have told me PCO.

Who cares? Both are good schools and will give you a great opportunity to pass boards. Choose the school/city that fits you and your lifestyle.
