Thats my 1st choice when I apply in two years. 👍
Sorry for double post, this one will be more informative.
My girlfriend passed by PCO today, its actually 20 minutes from her house. Which means its near Philly, King of Prussia (2nd largest mall in USA), near Korean and Asian neighborhoods (for Asian students looking for Asian food, hair stylists, etc.) and plenty of nice apartments. When I say near, its about 30 minutes or less. If someone at PCO can correct me, please do.
I like PCO only because I like the area and its close to 2 hours from NYC.
I'm not sure how well I will mix with the distracting city and my studies if I went to SUNY.

its also my first choice 3 years from now.......bc i want to stay in the northeastern region and because as much as i hate to admit it, i actually do like my winters. and bc its not as busy as NYC...which would be cheapest for me bc i am a NY resident, but its the area i'm not too fond of.
one thing that i do know is that addmissions was very prompt in answering my wuestion, whereas scco which i also asked the same question took 3 weeks to reply. pco only tok one week

PCO is a great school!
The amount of pathology you will see in clinic is enormous. I am not going to lie the program is intense, but doable.
The area is really nice(suburban philly), aside from TEI(philly), but honestly I can't wait to get back to ny.

My choices were also between PCO and SUNY. I was worried about Manhattan being a little too enticing while I was trying to be a student, too, but I really enjoy living in the city and don't have any problem making myself sit down to study. I think being in the city is actually a huge benefit -- there's great and quick food everywhere, and there are a million coffee places where you can study if you get tired of the library.

PCO's interview was more laid-back than SUNY's -- try doing a search in this forum for "PCO interview" and "SUNY interview" and there are a bunch of posts describing them both in more detail.samwY said:
The PCO campus is in a modern office park kinda thing in a very nice suburb of Philly, SUNY's is in a renovated building in midtown Manhattan (the business district, right near Times Square) that dates back to the early 20th century. My first impression upon seeing both was that PCO's facilities were a little "shinier" than SUNY's, but the SUNY building has grown on me. Because of their very different types of locations -- city vs. quiet suburb -- they have very different types of "feels". I know I would have liked it at PCO, but I have found myself really in love with being in NYC.

The PCO campus is absolutley beautiful. It doesn't feel like a school setting.
PCO has a nice good size pond in front of it, with geese, also a little bridge, a gazebo and running waterfalls. Adjacent to the campus a sports complex is in the works. It will have an indoor olympic pool, track, fitness center, study rooms, etc...

I REALLY liked PCO. I interviewed there and actually got accepted. I liked the fact that the professors have their notes online and you can just print them off. very cool. the interview was also nice. i just sat down and they asked me questions i expected i guess...
PCO really felt like a community, correct my if im wrong Christie, but i think our tour guide also showed us that you guys have your own lockers where you can put your stuff in between classes....
very cool.
and oh! the eye institute....heaven. very professional. I really dont have anything negative to say about it.
(in case anyone is wondering why i didnt choose PCO, it was b/c Boston is closer to my family)

PCO was never my first choice, since it's so far away from home. I interviewed there in March and really fell in love 😍with the school and everything it has to offer. Beautiful location, friendly people, great experiences to come. I hope I make it when I send in my Spring '04 grades!
