Hello,
I was wondering if anyone is in the PCOM Biomedical Sciences program? I feel like this program would work well for me given the fact that the classes are offered in the evening and I could work during the day, however I couldn't find anything on the website. Does anyone know what the class schedule is like in terms of when classes are offered and which days? Thanks.

They say that the days may change, though they haven't in years past. The current schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday evenings from 5-9. First trimester is infectious process once a week and molecular basis of medicine twice a week..second is anatomy twice a week and histo once...third is pharm, physio, and neuro all once a week. All the labs and everything are schedule within that 5-9 time period, though anatomy usually requires a bit of time in the lab outside of class.

I was accepted into the biomedical sciences program, and am still waiting to hear back from lecom about theirs. Did you do the program? If so, how did you like it?

Well...I'm a week or two away from hearing whether I'm getting into the DO program or not...so that'll decide whether I really like the program or not. But, so far it's been great. I know nothing about LECOM's program, so I can't compare. But, I think the classes are well done. You get a good feel for the depth and variety of classes in the DO program. Not too many programs that i've seen with a cadaver lab, which is nice. From what I've been told, if you do well in the biomed program, life as a first year will be pretty stress-free. All the professors are the same, so you get to know them really well and many use similar, if not the same lectures in the DO program. The general atmosphere is great...the profs and DO students are extremely supportive and helpful. Like I said...overall, (as long as I get in) the program has been great.
