Hello! I need help deciding between the two schools. I am a socal applicant but I don’t mind moving to be honest, even it is Georgia as I have family near by PCOM GA. If anyone could give any insights they have on the two programs, I would prefer something with a lower cost of attendance and right now I am interested in Psychiatry. Any help would be great

personally i would choose touro NV between the two based on location alone

what are the cost differences? your pros and cons?
I think Georgia would def be cheaper even tuition wise, maybe a bit more with moving costs the first year but. I really want to go to PCOM GA but I just wish it was closer to my family in California. I talked with one of my doctors at work and he said travel time wise it would be the same driving to Cali from NV vs flying to Cali from GA. Idk im super torn. I thought I felt better about choosing GA bc I’ve done all the matriculation/deposit for it but now I’ve heard 2 people say pick Nevada and im torn again.

Depending on where in CA your fam is, flights are pretty expensive + long travel days. NV is a cheap and quick flight away. When i was in CA i was only able to see my family once or twice a year because of this. Definitely something to consider. HOWEVER, if you think youll be happier in GA, and like the program more, it may be worth it. I just think its important to prioritize your wellness — whatever that may look like.

Thank you so much! Very true! What would you say are some things to consider when choosing a medical school? I’ve heard a lot about the pass fail and Touro is p/f but they still internally rank you, whereas PCOM GA is graded. I’m not sure how much to consider this as I don’t think I want to do anything competitive.
