Any word on how many of the aproximately 80 seats at PCOM-Georgia still remain?
How does the as-yet-to-be-completed medical facilities look?
I actually would like to be part of the charter class of a new med-school, how does everyone feel about this?

The website says 55 students have accepted offers of admission, but I don't know how old that number is.

Also, on a different note, there is an organization run by US med-students which sends med-students and others to India for one month over the summer for volunteer work. The link is www.AVSARIndia.org

Current first-year med-studs may want to check it out.

samdwi,
I was accepted to GAPCOM and I really liked the school. The medical facilities are still under construction but they are going to look great when done. I was impressed by the basic science faculties and positive attitude of school administrators. I think GAPCOM are going to have great clinical rotations, being in a big city like Atlanta (Mecca of the South), just like NYCOM or CCOM. I am not sure how many students have been accepted till now but you can call school and ask them ( Phone No: (770) 935-6052 and ask for Judy Mckenna)
Thanks for the information about AVSARIndia. I am interested in it.

My understanding is that all 80 seats have been filled and deposits secured on those 80 seats; however they are still interviewing and placing people on the waitlist. Dr Evans said that their should be a good deal of movement he thought on this list though. I was accepted about ~2 weeks ago, and one of my close friends was placed on the waitlist today. hope that helps....
