Ya I am going to redo mine and send it in. I applied to PCOM, Rutgers and Temple and still waiting to hear back from the later 2. I wished I applied to PCOM earlier though because it seems like a really good program.

Also, did you get a "complete" email saying that your application was complete or just the "Acknowledgement: Receipt of Pcom Application" email?
 
Same here. Among the schools I applied (Loyola, NYMC, VCU) PCOM seems to be pretty much the only program I have a realistic chance of getting in. Let's hope for the best though.

I simply checked the "online application summary" in that email and saw that every item was marked as received. That's how I'm assuming my file is complete.

How long does it usually take for mcat scores to be shown as received in the online summary? Also, just to be sure we send it in the thx system to pcom and not any other link right?

Just got accepted.. Really, I didn't even write a full paragraph for my essay. They ask you "why PCOM" or something along those lines. I wrote a few sentences and just got my letter.
Looks like +1.5 yr til dental school.

I kept bugging them about my application. They seemed to have received everything in about a month's time.

Good point...I am going to keep doing that. Its just frustrating because in Thx scoring the system its showing that my scores have been sent but when I called them, they say they haven't received them even though Thx says on the webpage that the program should be getting the scores within 48 hours. Hopefully they receive my scores soon so that I can get my decision since pcom is my first choice.

Yep, it was right about a week. I haven't sent the deposit because I am still clinging to my waitlist status at a dental school.
I'm very local to the GA campus, so I think I can just drop off the deposit ($500).
 
Hey everyone!

I finally got in!!!! SOOO excited....finally got some good news in my life lol. Like everyone else, I heard back a week after my app was complete. Congrats to those of us who got in!!!

Accepted! Same here, exactly a week after completed app.

For the Philly program, does anyone have an idea where they're going to be living? I've never been there before and any info would be appreciated.

Hey, guys! I'm new to the site--finally joined SDN so that I could interact on this thread haha.

I'm moving from CA and will be leaving my car behind (yay!). I checked out Nucleus for some housing info/potential roommates, but does anyone know of any good+safe places to live within walking distance of PCOM? I read some reviews and figured Lincoln Green and Presidential are out of the picture. Bala is nice but a bit out of my price range for a single.

I also looked at the public transportation and city crime data stats to see what's a practical distance for our evening classes...anyone within a mile radius of PCOM looking for a roommate? Hahaha Also, if you're going to PCOM this Aug., msg me! Even though it defeats the whole purpose of anonymity, we can find each other on facebook! Hahaha 🙂
 
Just sent in my deposit today!! For the binder that we are suppose to get in the mail with all the info and nucleus login info, how long does that take to receive in the mail?
 
I heard it takes anywhere from 2-3 weeks, but I was able to log into nucleus with the User ID they give you in the e-mail confirming your deposit.

If you get an e-mail with the title, like, "Welcome to PCOM! Deposit Confirmation: Biomedical Sciences - name User ID = ##########"

If you look at who else they send the e-mail to (other than your current e-mail), you'll see that they also went ahead and sent it to your new e-mail at PCOM! 😀

I e-mailed to ask how to login since there wasn't an option to create a password as a new user before logging in for the 1st time...so after you get the e-mail where you can figure out what your User ID & PCOM e-mail are, you click on nucleus from the PCOM homepage and log on by entering your new e-mail as the user and then the password will be only the last 8 digits of the User ID #.

Once you're in, you can set a new password!

Hello! I will be moving from AZ and I will also be leaving my car behind! It will be interesting diving into the whole new world of public transportation! I already have figured out my living situation, but I just wanted to say hello because we are in a similar situation 🙂.
 
Congrats to all those who were accepted and good luck to those waiting to hear! I am a Biomed at the Philly campus and as of yesterday we just completed our first year. If anybody has any questions about the program feel free to send me a message. Otherwise I will most likely see many of you at orientation, and you will definitely see me in the Anatomy Lab. Enjoy ur Summer!

I just accessed my e-mail from Nucleus. If you click on the e-mail icon, a Google Account box will open up (or maybe that's just me?). Log on as a new user with your new PCOM e-mail. For the password, it's the same thing as logging onto Nucleus for the 1st time: the last 8 digits of your Student ID. Hope this helps! 🙂

I don't think it's too late...I believe they take app till end of June in order to fill their class....so you still have a chance....good luck!

Just got into the PCOM biomedical science program!! So far it has been really hard finding a roommate to live with this semester. If anyone is looking for a roommate, please let me know. My price range is around $800, so I am sure we can find something fairly nice in the area if we split rent/utilities. Message me or reply to this post if you're interested!!

They already started taking people off the waiting list. In the past I saw on the forum that some people have been on the waiting list till the week of orientation, which is Aug 13 -15 this year. I would just keep emailing them periodically so you know exactly when they re review your app.

Thanks so much! I overnighted my form to be put on the wait list yesterday haha…I really want to get into this program! I may even call them tomorrow. I wonder how many people are on the wait list, any idea? That's crazy they pull people off the list up until the week of orientation….fingers crossed!!

You're welcome and I have no clue how many people are on the wait list. I think that would depend on the campus. I would just ask the school. I was on the wait list for Georgia Campus and I got taken off in June. Good luck!!!!
 
I have a letter waiting for me at home and I'm so nervous about it!! My application was completed on the 28th and the letter came today. Does anyone know if you just get letters for wait list/ acceptances or denials too? lol

They seem to send all decisions in standard sized envelopes. Good luck!
