Hi everyone! Quick question...aacomas sent my application Dec 1 to PCOM, LECOM, and VCOM. Will they e-mail me requesting secondaries or send it via snail mail? PCOM is the only place that one cannot download secondary applications...

On another note, I wrote President Schure of PCOM concerning the upcoming PCOM Atlanta Branch campus and he wrote back within 17 minutes! He's cool! After the accreditation process, it looks like 2005 for the earliest class.

Congratulations to those already accepted!

It all depends on the school call the admission office and ask they are usually very nice .

Please can you tell when you send out your accomas

thanks

Application was sent in to aacomas on October 21st, transcripts received on Oct 30th, app verified and sent to the schools on Dec 1st...4 weeks and few days from receipt of everything. Good people to talk with, my personal statement was hosed in transmission and they fixed it quickly.

AMCAS was faster...3 weeks.

PCOM works very quickly. You will probably hear from them very soon after they receive and review your application. They are the best when it comes to a prompt response.

Jim,

PCOM has some of the most personable administrators I have ever had the privledge of knowing. In all honesty, they keep a tight relationship with us the students. Even President Schure stops in the hall to shoot the bull with us on break.

Tommorrow for instance, we have what's called the "Deans Lunch." Dean Veit (Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs) will come and eat lunch with us to hear any concerns that we may have. If there are any, believe me, they get taken care of, pronto!

Both of them basically have open door policies for the students as well. Not that it's ever needed but it's nice to know that you could just walk into the President's or Vice President's office to discuss anything you wanted.

About the Georgia PCOM campus... It's true. The date I believe is accurate too. They want to make sure that everything is on the up and up prior to the first class. On the filp side, they would push that date back if it wasnt, so stay posted.

last year, i applied and heard from them like 8 months later... how's that for quick?

the only thing quick is them taking your money -- twice now... 🙄 🙄 🙄

Yup, I've been waiting almost 6 months to hear back from them...they better show a PA resident some love soon.

Relax, they get more apps than most DO schools. They have a lot to go through. When your in, it's another story. There is quick turn around time.

relax? who's not relaxed?

if they can take your money, then they should be able to return quicker responses. im sure they are not the most popular school around, yet others can respond much faster whether rejection or acception.

i frankly dont care if i hear back from them or not with my status, but it's the ethics of it.

Does anyone see my face? I think it just got chewed off. 🙄
