Hello guys. I have an interview tomorrow for a patient care technician position. I was wondering if you guys knew some of the questions they might ask? It is for a bone marrow transplant unit.

1. Why are you interested in this position?

2. Would you be interested in "moving up the ranks" aka transition to more involving positions?

3. How much time are you able to commit to this position (how long do you expect to be employed in this position?)

4. What relevant experience, if any, do you have that makes you fit for this position?

I just started as a PCT a couple months ago and it was a pretty basic interview.
It will be highly dependent on who interviews you. I was asked:

Why I wanted the job.
My plans in the next few years.
A difficult problem I had at my last job and what I did to get through it.
What would I do if dealing with a difficult employee.

A few more basic questions, nothing that really stood out.

Thank you guys! @AirplaneFruit I will be doing this while still in school. This past semester with the track I am on, I received my certificate to become a PCT with the courses I completed in college. I want more hands-on experience in the hospital and some autonomy. Hopefully everything will go well tomorrow.

Is this a good gap year position? OP and other people, why did you choose to apply for this job?

I got the job because I was planning to go down the PA route and needed the hands on patient care experience for applying but have since decided to apply to medical school. It has been a really great experience and I love being around patients.
