No. The CO2 that's produced is because Pyruvate undergoes a decarboxylation step to produce a product (which later combines with Vitamin A to produce Acetyl-CoA). Two additional decarboxylation steps occur in Kreb's cycle. Yep, you're right. Thanks for catching that.I think you mean Coenzyme A, not Vitamin A. The cofactors for PDH are B1, B2, B3, B5, and Lipoic acid.
B1 = thiamine pyrophosphate
B2 = FAD
B3 = NAD
B5 = Pantothenic Acid -> CoA
