What age range do most pediatric dentist patients fall at? (like 6-10 or something like this)

also, are most of pediatric dentist services covered by insurance or are they fee-for-service mostly?

I take new patients from age 1-12 and most kids are graduated out of the practice by 13 or 14. Most of my patients are in the 1-8 range.
Most pedo procedures are covered by insurance although they don't pay for nitrous or sedation. I do know a few pediatric dentists who don't take insurance, but not many. Most of our procedures are considered "basic."

My pediatric dentist sees patients through college years. I would think that it varies and is up to the dentist.
