Hello Everyone,
I am a first year Pediatric Dental Resident and as soon as I matched into Residency, I started looking for recommendations and searched SDN for study materials/course that can help me with my prep for the upcoming Board Exam.
One of my friends who passed her board exam recently, suggested this wonderful QE prep course that she and her friends used that is offered by Dr. Christopher Soares, and I'll share my thoughts here for anyone searching.
This is a 10 week QE prep review course that is offered by Dr. Christopher Soares, who himself is a practicing Pediatric Dentist. The course is through Zoom, that starts beginning of January until the middle of March which comprises of 8 core sections for the Qualifying Exam. I attended one of the free introductory classes and was truly impressed by the way the course is organized. There are 1500 multiple choice questions with great explanations that makes it so easy to remember. I mean, the same material that I read several times from the Hand Book, but kept forgetting, he explains it so well, it really made sense and I am able to recollect the material.
If you are in the process of preparing for your boards, I strongly recommend Dr. Christopher Soares's course.
There is one last free session on Dec 9th 07:30PM EST which I will post a link here for anyone who is interested. This material is also highly useful not just for Pediatric Dentist but also for anyone in dental school.
The information is high yield, builds the concept with great explanations, very interactive sessions, we can ask our questions and Dr. Soares is available to help his students. Doctors, you won't believe how reasonable this course is! It's a spectacular resource in addition to the standard Hand Book, Mc Dowell and Avery and the Reference Manual. There is a significant difference between reading the material and actively applying that information by formulating questions about it.
