In one of my interviews the PD mentioned that the number had rebounded a bit from last year, but she was probably just referring to her own prog. Not sure if it’ll end up being true everywhere.

And for the previous question, I never heard from UVA

I've also heard from my program leadership that numbers have been back up a bit from last year, though closer to what they were 2 years ago. This is still a fair bit lower than where they were 3-4 years back.
 
Any idea when the interview season ends? The last interview date I have seen so far is 11/12

So, would the ranking list be for the 3rd or 4th week of November?

Someone I know who did a peds fellowship ( not PHO ) mentioned that some programs will contact the applicants they are interested in before the ranking list. How accurate is this? And if it's true, does this mean anything?
 
How many candidates does a program normally interview for a position?
Asking because in some of these interviews, I have been the only applicant.

Same here, I had interviews where it was only me.
I think it varies, each program is different.

I haven’t received any invites since 3rd week of August I think.

The only one who commented on it was Cincinnati who said they typically interview ~40 applicants or 25% of total applicants. I'd guess that's one of the highest. My home program is pretty small and I don't think we interview more than 20.

I've been alone but also have had up to 6 applicants total with me. Most common seems like 2-4.

And same, no invites since the 20 something of August. I only haven't heard from one of my programs though.

I'd take any post-interview communication with a huge grain of salt. Have definitely heard of people being burned before
 
How many interviews have you all been advised to do? Starting to feel a little burnt out with interviews and wondering if I can/should cancel some of my later ones?
 
I was told 7 is more than enough, however, I am doing more coz of my partner who is looking for jobs as well. Just to ensure we end up in a place that fits both of us.
 
Agreed, I was told 10 is definitely enough but also interviewing to WAY more because my partner is applying to residency with red flags at the same time

Yes!!!!
I have enjoyed interviewing almost everywhere. All the programs are so welcoming and supportive. I think ultimately for me, it is going to come down to location.

On an unrelated note, have any of you guys interviewed with NP’s and PA’s?
 
I've had a couple where we spoke to them in a group / Q&A setting, but no one-on-one interviews

Do you have any idea when programs usually submit their ranking lists? I have received invites for an in-person second look ( first 2 weeks of November), and they mention these will be after the ranking list is submitted.
 
I'm honestly not sure! I'd guess somewhat similar to ours, which I think is 11/20?

Have y'all been getting much personalized post-IV correspondence? Aside from a couple mine's all been second-looks and generic info-providing ones.

Yes, I received several personalized post-IV communications, but I assume they were sent to everyone. 😊

I’m almost finished with my IVs! Overall, I've enjoyed the experience (except for two). My ranking list will be mainly based on geographic reasons since I want to be close to my family after spending the last few years away.
 
I haven’t received any personalised post IV communication.
Is this a red-flag?
I also haven’t sent any thank you emails!!!!

Nervous but excited! Certified my rank list today. (I learned you can re-certify as many times as you’d like, but wanted to make sure I’m at least definitely participating in the match haha). You?

I still have to certify my rank-list but will do that soon here!
It’s nice to be busy with residency and not think about the match too much, unlike how it was in med school!!!!
