Hello, is there anyone who is going to try to grandfather in as a pediatric hospitalist? Taking the exam? Any thoughts on how to prepare for this test that no one has ever taken?

I don't think we can ever complain enough about this. My blood boils every time the hospitalist fellowship topic comes up.

There is a conference in July and a Prep course in September. I am guessing they are going to have a lot more people than usual registering for both.

We are looking for a pediatric hospitalist at our hospital, I was not aware there was a board exam now for pediatric hospitalist. Is that standard now? Required? Any more info?

The board exam is being offered for the first time this year. So, no, it’s not required or standard.
