Pediatric Prelim Years

I did a search before posting, but could not find any current/accurate information. I am applying for ophthalmology and am interested in doing a prelim year in pediatrics. I emailed a few programs with prelim years listed on ERAS, but NONE of them actually have prelim years. I asked Dr. Google, but he gave me false information. Anyone know where I can find an accurate list of current prelim peds programs?

Yeah this is tough- I had the same predicament when applying to child neuro (and needed a 2 year position, even more rare!). I think I started with FREIDA, though that list was also not completely accurate, so you kind of have to start with that list and email each program to ask about their status.

I did my pedi prelim in San Antonio, so there's one for your list 🙂

I am in the same boat buddy, looking for a prelim peds spot, before getting into a med-genetics residency. Have done as OddNath advises. Have emailed north of 65+ programs inquiring about a prelim position. Nothing too promising as of yet. Best of luck!
