Do any of you have a practice which is predominately pediatrics ? like sixty percent or more

any ideas how to get more pediatric patients ?

Deliver babies. All the FM docs I know with heavy Peds practices did so by accumulating kids through OB and then having the reputation even after they stopped doing OB (for those that stopped).
Or at least do nursery rounds. Pick up the unassigned kids.

Second this.

You will get the pediatric patients by building a good relationship with their parents and letting them know that you would love to see the whole family. In most circumstances, they won't send their kids to see you until they do first.

Stocking childhood vaccinations will be the tricky part. If you don't use them all before they expire, you'll be out a TON of money. You otherwise end up sending them to the pharmacy or the health department. Some will not like this.

Not unlike our adult patients, you've got to give whatever population your seeing a good reason to see you rather than the other guy/gal. How you go about that is up to you.
