Hey guys,

So I'm looking for some advice: due to family reasons, I have not been able to study much during this rotation and now have the shelf exam for Pediatrics on Friday. Is it still possible to pass? (I don't remember too much from 2nd year in terms of pathology etc). What do you guys recommend as the best way to study at this point?

Read the bold stuff in BRS Peds? Do the UW Peds questions? I have all the resources: Case Files, Blueprints, BRS Peds, UW Step 2 CK, Pretest...please any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks So much!

Haven't taken the peds shelf yet, prepping for it now, myself.

For my past shelf exams, UWorld has been the best bang for the buck in terms of study time. I'd do case-files after that if you can fit it in. Are you still working this week or do you have dedicated study time?

Still working, but my clinics doc lets me out early. Thanks so much!

Anyone have any suggestions for someone running out of time to prepare for the Peds shelf (all prep in 3 days!!), I just want to pass🙂 Thanks so much!

Yah, get off SDN and get on the books. +pity+

Go to your library. Find Pre-Test Pediatrics. Do as many questions as possible before Friday, and you'll be fine.

It's very development milestones heavy, fyi.

my test was inf dz heavy. listening to how many ppl think diff topics are emphasized on the shelf, i have come to the conclusion that students remember their weakest topics and believe they are disproportionally tested.

op, good luck. agreed with pre-test. you can also skim through first aid usmle step 2.

pretest pretest pretest and only pretest

Harry up and start reading the wrong and correct answers

Good luck

Thank you all so much-if anyone thinks of anything else just let me know!! 🙂

USMLE World was helpful as well as PreTest for the shelf exam. I think you'll do well with these two!
