Hey guys whats up, Im a High school student in junior year I just wanted to know some background info about Pediatrics. How many years does it take? Do they have a steady comfortable salary? Thanks

1) The usual path: After earning a college degree and completing four years of med school and a three year residency in Pediatrics, one is eligible to become board-certified in Pediatrics.

Thanks guys, i was also wondering which would be better, a 6 year medical program (Howard university) or doing the traditional 4 years undergrad 4 years med

Traditional is almost always better IMO.
 
I don't know much about the college/MD programs. But I would recommend the traditional program. There is no hurry. Enjoy 4 years of college. Then go to med school and enjoy that too.
 
Maybe you could also try to shadow a few pediatricians to see if the specialty seems interesting to you (kind of hard to do if you are barely in HS, but you might get lucky if you ask around).

Yeah it can be hard in high school to get clinical shadowing experience. You might be able to if you try academic hospitals/university centers.
