I'm excited to become part of the thread. Congrats to everyone that has interviews so far! I just heard from Cincinnati today regarding an interview on December 6-7. Unlike others, I was contacted via e-mail and asked to call the program.
 
Any idea when alabama calls fr interviews?

Has anyone heard anything from Nova (Florida)? Couple of yrs ago, they sent out letters third week of Sept, and other years end of Oct... really hoping to hear from them.

hi guys. i m new to this forum. i am a practicing foreign trained pediatric dentist ( completed my post doctoral program in 2006), with a NBDE part 1 score of 90 ( new pattern but have n taken part 2 and GRE). i have applied in few schools for the pediatric dentistry residency program? do i stand any chance of gettin into any program? please reply.... thanxs..

I'm no expert and we're all applying hoping to get those interviews. The fact that you're already a pediatric dentist may be a plus or a minus for some schools. The biggest limiting factor for you will be the fact that you're a foreign applicant. Having said that though, if you apply to the right schools, you still have a chance. Which schools are the right schools is a tougher question, you'd have to get in touch w/ someone who's gone through the process. You can only apply and see what happens.

Good luck. Having said that if I don't hear something soon, I'm throwing my computer out the window. :laugh:

I can't believe no one has heard anything in the last three days...I'm so antsy...I'm reading the endo and ortho threads just to make myself feel better. What's taking so long:bang: Am I the only one going crazy here. 😀

Everyone. I think we all share in the craziness. Its ridiculous that we haven't heard from more programs. I talked to a few people who are in programs currently and they said most of their interviews came in late Oct/ early November. I think they were trying to help but I am not sure I feel any better. Oh well. Thanks for everyone posting on here it helps to be able to check something. At least I think it does. Good luck. Hope I get to meet all of you at some interviews.
 
Huggies has been doing an awesome job updating our heard from list. So short answer, no. I don't think anyone has made it public that those programs have given interviews. Sorry man

Just got interviews from UCLA, San Antonio, and one of the Floridas (not sure which). I only applied to 5 schools so I am pretty happy. Lots of luck to the rest of you. I wish there were hundreds of spots so we could all get in.

I am from Venezuela...I also am a pediatric dentist, I finished this program at 2005..Now in USA, waiting interviews letters, but nothing yet. I applied to NOVA, FLORIDA, SAN ANTONIO and houston. I am a senior dentist - have a LOT of applications in. Received a letter from Ohio State/Nationwide Children's hospital. Their interview dates are Nov 1/2 and December 6/7. Like many of you - I am really frustrated waiting to hear about interview from many of the programs.

MUSC sent me an e-mail a while back saying that my file was complete. They never asked me for a photo. Then again, that's my alma mater (maybe they remember me). :xf:

Did anyone applied to National Children hospital in DC? I heard they are finalizing 20 people for interviews now. Cross fingers. Really tough!!!

HI - not sure of that interview deadline date- but given the posted dates for interviews thankd to Huggies- my estimate i that if you don't hear anything by probably some time in November/December - it is time to worry. That's just my SWAG.

Lots of people over the last couple of years said they received most of their interviews at the beginning of November. So I'm thinking that by mid November it will be over. However I have to say that last year by this time, a lot more programs extended interviews (over 25 schools), this year is a bit slower.

The last interview I had last year, I was called the last week of November first week of December. I can't remeber exactly what date but it was for a late december interview. Don't worry, they keep calling. If you havn't been called yet they may call later when people start getting too many interviews and they can't make all of them. Spots do open up later on, people cancel. The program just goes to the next person on their list. It hapend to me once last year, I got a called late to a program last year (the week before the interview and about a month after they started extending invites) and I also had to turn down 2 interviews because of conflicts in dates. So don't give up hope yet.

Just out of curiosity, what interview dates were offered for UCLA, and to which program did you apply?

I am a UCLA dental student, and I spoke with the Chief Resident from Westwood who is participating in the interview selection process, and she said no decisions or interview invitations have been made for the Westwood program.
