I don't understand this program. I applied to Luthern Medical Center's outside clinics in Alaska and Rhode Island, but not to the main campus in Brooklyn. I received an interview in November for RI and AL, but I go to Brooklyn. Now I hear that UtahDentist2Be will be interviewing in Providence for the same program that I am interviewing for. Does anyone have any idea why the discrepency? Any insiders? It could very well be that he UtahDentist2Be is a higher priority or higher ranked applicant. I am just curious what's the deal.

Yeah, the lady told me on the phone that I'll be going to Rhode Island because that is the only Lutheran program I applied to. I really doubt that I am a more desirable applicant than you Cochino. It seems like we've applied to a lot of similar places, though. Are you still going to Toledo on the 23rd? I look forward to meeting you.

I wouldn't trust anything that 'Eliminator' posts... he said he got an interview to San Antonio long before the first interviews were even offered... he also said that he has a friend from Case in the San Antonio program, there isn't anyone from Case at San Antonio... this guy is trying to mess with you all

I know that people do this with OMFS interviews from time to time but I haven't seen it over here in pedo. Perhaps someone who has been through this process can chime in and let us know if trading dates can be readily achieved with pedo interviews.

I have a conflict with my Cincinnati interview on December 6-7 and was wondering if anyone would like to trade dates with me for their November 15-16 slot. It's getting frustrating with so many program notifying late and very little time to fit everything in!

I haven't heard of that before. I did hear that last year one program asked the residents to draw a Class II prep for an amalgam on a primary molar - but I couldn't tell you who though.

Hi everyone,

As you know, many of the programs have informal socials the night before the formal interview. Though these are informal, they provide a great opportunity to meet fellow applicants and current residents. If I am not able to make it to one of the pre-interview outings, do you think it is worth going to the interview at all since I am sure they do actually play an important role in the rank list of applicants? What are your thoughts?
