Pedo externship experiences

I'm a current D3 interested in a pedo externship this summer. I find that there are so many programs and I really don't know what to look for in an externship. So, if you have externed before for pedo, could you share your experiences or resources you used to find out the most suitable externship for you? Thanks!

You do externships to find out and learn more about different residency programs.

In my case, I went to talk to my school's pedo director for suggestions.

i would focus less on where to externship and focus more on programs you will be applying to. your best resource is probably the 4th years at your school. talk to them and start coming up with a list of programs that you'll be applying to, and do your externship at the schools you are most interested in. that way you can see if you like their program and they can get to know you better...it'll probably help your chances of matching there.
