anyone recently take these shelves??

Please give any advice (esp for the formidable OB SHELF and random facts that would help for extra points!)

Looking for really good advice that would help with someone very weak in those subjects.

Also what resources are good for studying?

UWorld, practice NBMEs, MTB, and maybe Case Files are all you really need for peds. I just took it and got an 87. I've tended to score around the mean on other shelf exams and put pretty minimal effort into studying for the peds exam, because f*** peds.

No, no let's here more.... I'm always interested how people come to their conclusions.
Kids, annoying parents, anxious parents, ****ty parents, and well child exams aren't my cup of tea. I knew I wasn't interested in peds going in, and kept a very open mind throughout, but my experience on my peds rotation, especially inpatient, was horrendous. If you're curious about specifics PM me.

Forgot to mention that I also watched those. They're a good overview to guide you as to what's likely to show up on the shelf, but not enough detail to use as a primary study source.

I am going thru a similar experience right now... Kudos to med students who are going into peds!
