Has anyone rotated at UCI or Millers for a peds elective or at CHOC?

I have not rotated through peds yet, but being that I go to UCI I can tell you what i've heard. Supposedly the in-pt load at millers is suppose to be higher than at uci, so people would say that if you want to go into peds and get good exposure, do it at millers instead of uci. I've heard nothing about choc so can't say anything about that.

Probably a bit late just by seeing the date on the intial post....
I did my peds core @ Millers and a Peds ID elec @ UCI. Depending on what you're doing in Peds, both Millers and UCI can be great, generally LBMMC is busier and you get to see more in variety and number, but UCI is where you'll see the sickest and the less common. Again I don't know what you're elective is in, but I felt like I got to do more at Millers due to the sheer number of patients.
Hope that helps🙂 .
