My first rotation is Peds and my school suggested we get one of the following books. They haven't always made the best textbook suggestions in the past. If you guys have an opinion on which of these is best or an alternate suggestion I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Rudolph's Fundamentals of Pediatrics, by Abraham M. Rudolph, Robert K. Kamei and Kim J. Overby (Paperback, February 14, 2002)

Nelson Essentials of Pediatrics, 5E with Student Consult Access Fifth Edition (Paperback – November 1, 2005)

Oski's Essential Pediatrics, edited by Johnson and Oski, Lippincott-Raven, 2004

Pediatrics, edited by Bernstein and Shelov, Williams and Wilkins,1996

All useless unless you're going to be a pediatrician.

BRS Pediatrics is all you need.

Although I've heard baby Nelson (essentials) is reasonable.

just stick to pediatric review books like blueprints (which is pretty good for peds I must say), case files, and pretest. Depending on the length of your rotation that's all you'll really be able to do anyway. As a rule of thumb for all M3 rotations, don't waste time or money on big textbooks not designed to teach you stuff that will be on the shelf exam unless you really plan on going into that field and have the extra time.
