Hey guys, so I'll be applying for peds in just a few weeks and I figured I'd ask for any last minute advice and school advice. Here's some info about me:

-Graduating from WVU in May (also went to WVU for undergrad)
-Step 1: 239
-Step 2ck: 248, cs pending
-Couples matching; he'a going into EM with step 1 mid-220s, step 2 mid-250s

-No honors in peds, only got honors in neurology (WVU does top 15% so it's pretty difficult to get honors)
-In top quartile of class
-Also got honors in one preclinical class
-LORs from 2 pediatricians, 1 family med doc; should be pretty strong
-1 peds pub accepted (won't be published for awhile though), 1 other paper in process, 1 abstract published, 1 other abstract in process
-Lots of volunteering and tutoring

We're mostly looking into the east coast, targeting big cities like NYC, Chicago, Philly, DC. But are open to go anywhere. If you can think of any schools that would be good for me to apply to or may be out of my reach and I shouldn't waste my time on, feel free to let me know! Thanks!

You'll be fine. Just apply broadly to the cities you want to be in. I got a 209 in Step 2 and still got interviews in California.
