Can anyone post the timeline for applications for fellowship if a resident was hoping to start fellowship directly after residency. The NRMP has some timeline from 2008 and want to make sure its the same.

My understanding:
--apply Aug (start of PGY3)
--interview Sept to Oct
--match November of PGY3
--start fellowship July after residency.

Sound right? Any pearls of wisdom for apps?

This will tell you application dates, number of fellows/faculty, etc.

Your time frame is right. Peds EM has become quite competitive with somewhere near 48 unmatched applicants last year. So get involved, apply to a wide variety of places and don't be afraid to ask attendings with whom you've worked closely to make calls for you.
