Hey guys,
If you are wanting some legit peds experience but don't want to go 2 years for pedo, this is the program for you (or if you want a back up to peds).
OU Children's Physicians
I did not match peds last year, and was able to snag this program up and it is seriously a one year peds program. I started in july, hit the ground running. The monday after orientation I was already seeing patients and doing ortho. Tuesday I was thrown into the OR doing dentistry full mouth restorations under general anesthesia, and wednesday was oral sedation day, more clinic on thursday, and another OR day on friday. We see kids from 0-11 for the most part, some older here and there. There is a 3 month rotation at the VA hospital seeing adults. A LOT of medically compromised kids, since we are the only children's hospital in the state of oklahoma. It is pretty much a feeder program for peds and heard everyone usually matches after this GPR. The clinic is only 4 years old so everything is brand new and very modern.
