Hey all,

I'm trying to get an idea of how well I'm doing in prep for the pediatrics shelf next week. I have been working through blueprints and pre-test at a decent pace, but I have no idea how the percentage of questions I'm answering correctly correlates with the actual shelf exam. Anyone who has taken the peds shelf, do you remember how you did in pre-test and the blueprints end of the book question set vs. how you performed on the actual exam? Thanks!

I don't remember the %, but Pre-Test is significantly easier than the actual exam. At least, that was my experience a while back.

I found BRS pediatrics to have the highest-yield information, but needless to say you aren't going to be able to finish that in a week.

Uh Oh...I better stop goofing off on SDN and get back to studying...

I don't think pre-test is easier than the exam. I felt like the exam was harder than I expected, but I got a 93/99th percentile, and I thought that there was a lot in pre-test that was difficult. I probably was getting 60-80% for each chapter of pre-test.

Pretest peds is like all pretests in relation to their respective shelf exams.

In PreTest, the question material is relatively esoteric, but the question is plainly written and not confusing.

On the shelf, the material is simple, but the question is horridly boring/long and none of the answers are what you'd really want.
