Pen and Notes?

For me, a fine nib on any fountain pen will do fine. Preference: Pilot Metropolitan

I am a lefty so finding a really solid pen is hard. It has to have good flow (since we "push" on the paper rather than pull). But it has to have a thin enough tip or good enough ink so that it doesn't smear. It also has to be cheap heh. Here are 3 suggestions:

Pentel energel needle tip. These are awesome but they are like $3.50 a pop.

Uniball signo 207 micro. This one is probably the worst of the 3 but I know some people swear by them. it is kinda of scratchy which sucks but i get the feel like it would be better as a righty.

Then I recently found the uniball jet stream (0.38mm) on Amazon for like 5/$10 which is awesome. I really like these pens, these are what I am gonna be using.

Cool! I might pick that up, as well as the Uniball Signo 207. A pack of 12 for $14 is a steal
Yea I bet if you were a righty then these would be awesome pens. They just seem to get the feel of getting clogged/caught as I write. But that is probably because of the micro point and because as I mentioned: pushing against the paper. So it'l probably be solid for you.

But honestly now the real question is whether or not it is worth using a pen and paper at all in school haha. I think I am going to try and be all electronic; but that's going to be hard coming from doing all hand written notes in UG.

Agreed. Physically writing things out helps a lot for retention though. I just bought a surface pro 3 for my first year, and it's a great combination. Organization is easy because of onenote and other software apps, but you can still get the added benefit of writing your notes out.

OneNote seems like heaven for many users. Maybe I should take a look at it!
