to anyone out there who has had an interview at penn, do you know if the 3 interviewers we met with individually will be involved with the actual decision making. there was the closed file interview, the open file interview, then a meeting with the director of admissions. hmmm, just wondering.😕

the invitation stated that we would be having 2 interviews not 3. im not so sure that the director of admissions is involved in the decision process. i asked a few people interviewing that day and no one was sure.

At Penn last month we had 2 interviews and then "briefly met" with director of admissions, who went over her file to make sure she wasn't missing anything. It was very short. It really didn't feel like a third interview.

You beat me to it. Yeah, I had one for Sept 24th, but had to reschedule so it is coming up, quickly. I'll let you know how it goes. How do you mean the tone was different? I'm really excited for Penn.

At UF Dr. Sposetti, assistant dean of admissions who meets with every interviewee does not get to be part of the decision making on whether the student is accepted or not. Her opinion matters very much because she presents you to the other admissions committee members who have a vote, but she herself does not vote unless it is to break a tie.

So Snaggle, it is very possible that the dean there is also not directly involved in the decision making process.

I hope the interview went well. I am still waiting to hear back from them...
