So Penn State requires a semester of behavioral science. Are med schools pretty liberal about what qualifies as such or do they mean intro. psych?

Question 2: Can one apply without having yet taken it?

Cheers.

You should just call up the Office of Admissions for questions like those, because only they can answer a specific question like this. However, I asked them the same question. They are pretty broad about behavioral science. If you look in the MSAR they list taking courses like anthro, psych, etc. That is what they mean by behavioral science. I had taken 2 quarters of psych and 1 quarter of anthro and they said it was fine.

You can apply without having taken a whole slew of classes. All you need to do is make sure you've fulfilled the requirements by the time you matriculate. That goes for all schools. Some even let you get by w/out taking the MCAT, but may ask you for SAT scores.
