This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
did you do a searrch on this site....we wrote a few reviews on penn state when we interviewed. Loved the program...had them ranked #3

didn't too well on boards..<80 on both steps with attempts..but still love gas...how are my chances at penn.state?...honestly...still try? or just.forget about it?....wife just joined as a fellow in i.d..so hoping to get in as well...

thanks

honestly, hashimoto, word around the water cooler is that most of us were upper 80's, low 90's on the steps. one girl in my class got low 80's on step 1 but busted a 97 on step 2. but, i will tell you that personality and 'fit' go a long way in this program. most all the residents are very friendly and i think that the people making the decision on your rank look at how you will gel with the rest of the class as well. it's certainly not as competitive of a program as the big names, but it has a lot to offer and i think is consistently named as one of the better academic programs if you ask around.

either way just apply and good luck.

i'll go ahead and try....thanks again and keep a look out.....

tell your residency coord/pd..that if they come across someone's application with low scores with a bad transcript..not to overlook them!...and to give them a chance!..they might be surprised!...

thanks again...
