WHAT? Why would you have additional experience not already listed? Should I just write a paragraph about the stuff I mentioned in the application and elaborate more or does that make me look stupid for not following the directions?

I was hoping that someone else would ask this. I didnt want to feellike the only dumb one. Now i have company lol i was wondering the same thing.

I didnt want to look like a bum on my app so i just mentioned a few key experiences that i had while preparing myself for dentistry (clinic volunteering, pre-dent organizations, shadowing, etc.). But i had the same question when i read it too, this is just what i did, not saying its right...

I Know I have gone into some more offices since I submitted my app. I will probably put that down. Other than that maybe repeat some stuff? Orgodox and Klutzy your scores are so high will it even matter?

My plan is to answer the questions that I can as well as I can and the others leave blank/put a sentence or two.

What do you consider so high?? a 20 a 22?? neither one is astronomically high. What do you think that if you get a 22 apps dont matter an Ivy league school will accept you just based on your grades??? thats asenine.

Your scores are competitive too, Andrew...20s in all sections except one, same as me.

I happen to remember it because I commented on it 🙂. Read the whole thread... someone got a response from a Penn adcom about this, but I think leaving the question blank is a baaad idea!

Thanks guys, Klutzy dont freak out on him it was meant in a nice way. Unfortunately for us both Penn cares about RC a lot so I have no shot but you should be alright. Im applying anyhow caze I might as well but its not my top choice and prob not gana be an option.
Its nice that they give us this application now so we can get it outa the way before school starts but come on that first question is pointless. I heard a few schools dont ask many essay questions in the supplemental at least that what I saw here on SDN

i just went into further detail about what i did and observed at my dental position. i also said i learned about other aspects of dentistry as well as talked to predents/dental students/dentists about what the job entailed too. i think i even mentioned sdn? i just milked it for all it was worth :]

On the second page for evaluation/recommendation it says if you have a committee letter that fulfills the requirement?so if you have a committee letter you can leave the second Name of faculty member blank since the committee letter takes care of both requirements?

haha Orgo I'm just like you...I was stressing about little things like that, too. I'm pretty sure you just leave it blank. Plus, for some reason the second slot doesn't even work! (at least it didn't when I tried to fill it in with my research professor). Just get that thing done and then you don't have to worry! It feels good to mail it...

That should be it......this is right about the time when Penn started sending out their first interviews last year....I know I got mine sometime during the first half of August.

Yea my AADSAS isnt mailed til monday dont ask me why caze its been over 2 weeks since GPA verified but I will mail it by tuesday morning so it gets there same time as my app, but i dont have a real shot there anyhow caze they care a lot about RC.

Mine was all single spaced...I wrote about a page for every question, too.

I feel as if this is a bit excessive, and that if several well thought out paragraphs would suffice for the entire supplemental.

These adcoms don't want to read books, they're just looking for applicants to expound upon the standard AADSAS application.

What were the questions to last years application? I am assuming that the questions would be very similar, if not identical.
