I'm curious,

How would you rank or compare Penn state, Temple, Jefferson, and Drexel. Penn and Pitt are obviously 1 and 2 respectively. I am especially curious about Jefferson, they seem a bit out of it as far as the style of thier secondary app.

There was an earlier post about Drexel that I found helpful but how do they compare rep wise?

It's University of Penn NOT Penn State 😛

I think Jefferson has a better reputation than Drexel or Temple. Drexel and Temple are unranked by USNews' research ranking but Jefferson ranks about #50. Jefferson has a relatively small campus but is affiliated with about 15 hospitals (That's a lot, trust me), so there are many opportunities to do rotations at different hospitals. There's a strong focus on clinical care in the school, although the school supports student research.

Penn state is different than Penn. 😛 But thanks for your input on Jefferson. Anyone have any thoughts about where Penn state would fit in? Above Drexel and Temple? I'm not really interested in primary care so I'm a bit weary to go to Penn state because that is thier focus.

This is a tuff one here. I'm from Philadelphia, Pa and I go to West Chester University of Penn. Penn state has risen above us and we are a good school. However, to compare Penn State with Drexel or Temple....this is a hard one. I wonder can you compare the three since Drexel and Temple are private schools and Penn state is public. If I had to guess at this one, I would say that Drexel and Temple are very close...but temple who pull out by a nose over Drexel and Penn state would follow Drexel.

Gosh I'm hope I'm right on this, I'm tired of looking like the dumb one on this board. Is there any PA students out there that can help me?

penn state, the state penn...what's the difference?
