I will be a freshman in college this fall looking forward to pursuing a career in medicine. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with being in a fraternity and if they recomended it. I am currently looking into joining one. Any input will help. Thanks!

Hi, I wasn't in a fraternity but I think that if you participate in community service projects or something positive as a member of the frat that it would help you get in to a medical school (not to mention being fun to do things like that with your friends).
I really don't think med schools are very impressed just by the fact that you were in a fraternity though-especially if its a drinking frat-not to stereotype.

Can be lots of fun, but can also hurt you a lot. Esp if you have no self control. If you have good self control and really are'nt influenced too much by peer pressure go for it. If not dont.
