Hey guys,
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what percent right on Step 1 correlates with what score? Generally speaking?

(ie 80% = 240; 90% = 250) etc.

I apologize if this has been talked about before; couldn't find it while searching.

There's obviously a correlation, just not one as simple as that. I haven't actually looked at it, but a number of people seem to allege to have done the math. I just don't remember where.

It's done similarly to Uworld as far as I've been able to tell. You take your set of questions and then you're compared to the average on each of the questions you were given,

Those averages are then composited to create your score...

So it's not exactly as simple as "how many you get right" because you could get a really hard test and perhaps get a 240 with 75% correct, and someone else could get mostly easy questions and get a 220 with 80% correct.

It's got everything to do with the actual set of questions you draw on test day.
